Anubis; the son of Osiris and Nephthys, is portrayed here in his jackal form, though he is more commonly represented as a jackal-headed man. Anubis first attained renown after conducting the first embalming in history on his father Osiris, whom was dismembered by his brother, Set. This granted Osiris immortality, and both father and son ruled over different aspects of the underworld. This statue is cold cast resin & hand painted, measuring 5 1/2" in length.

Standing 8 1/2" tall and made of hand painted cold-cast resin, this statue is a representation of Hathor an ancient goddess from the Egyptian pantheon. In Egyptian mythology, Hathor (Egyptian for house of Horus) was originally a personification of the Milky Way, which was seen as the milk that flowed from the udders of a heavenly cow. She was also known as the eye of Ra. Hathor is an ancient goddess, and has been worshiped as a deity from at least 2700 BCE during the second dynasty. She was the daughter of Ra and Nut.

Thoth the ibis headed was the Egyptian god of wisdom and writing. Thoth conceived himself at the beginning of time, and was the scribe to the gods and husband of Ma`at. He recorded the results of the weighing of a spirits heart against the feather of Ma`at. He is also credited with the invention of astronomy, geometry and medicine. She was the mother of Horus the Younger and wife and sister of Osiris. Considered to be the greatest magician of all time, Isis` accomplishments include bringing Osiris back to life and helping him become a god in the underworld and forcing the god Ra to reveal his secret name to her. Laxmi, (also spelled Lakshmi) is the Hindu goddess of prosperity, though she also has province over luck, light, beauty, courage, and fertility. She is daughter to the sea, and sister to the moon. This hand painted cold-cast resin statue shows Laxmi seated atop a lotus blossom. She is adorned with brightly colored finery, with a vessel of gold and silver coins beside her. The whole statue is 4" tall and rests upon a 3 1/2" base.

Winged maat statue
Ma`at was the Ancient Egyptian concept of truth, law, morality, and justice. Regulating the stars, seasons, and the actions of both mortals and the deities, it was Ma`at who set the order of the universe from chaos at the moment of creation. After her role in creation and continuously preventing the universe from returning to chaos, her primary role in Egyptian mythology dealt with the weighing of souls that took place in the underworld, Duat. The weight of a single feather from Ma`at was the measure that determined whether the souls (considered to reside in the heart) of the departed would reach the afterlife successfully or dwell forever in the underworld. This beautiful statue of Ma`at is hand painted in black and gold out of a sturdy cold-cast resin. Standing 8 3/4" tall, with a 10" wingspan from tip to tip, Ma`at wears a richly patterned golden dress and a single ostrich feather in her hair.

Capped with a pyramid ion at the top. Obelisks are solar symbols similar in meaning to pyramids, they are associated with an ancient stone called BENBEN in Heliopolis. They were set in pairs, at the entrances of temples, and to some Old Kingdom tombs.
